Verwood, Alderholt and East Dorset Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly UpdateHere's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing this week to help keep our communities safe, supported, and connected: Police Assisted the Ambulance Service during a mental health related incident, carrying out a safe and well check to ensure the individual's welfare.Police Conducted a stop and search involving two individuals suspected of being in possession of drugs in Verwood, helping to gather information and develop local intelligence.Hosted a Community Contact Point at Tesco Express, giving local Neighbourhood Policing Team officers the opportunity to speak directly with residents and better understand local concerns. Issues raised this week included shoplifting at Tesco Express, speeding in the area, neighbourhood disputes, Antisocial behaviour in the area of Verwood shops. Police carried out proactive fire prevention patrols, both on foot and by vehicle, across local heathland, parks, and forest areas to help reduce the risk of wildfires and promote public safety.Police Attended a road traffic collision at Manor Roundabout in Verwood involving a motorcycle carrying a rider and pillion passenger, and a car.Police Conducted high-visibility foot and traffic patrols in Verwood, Three Legged Cross, and Alderholt, providing reassurance to the public, engaging with residents, and addressing local concerns.Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to speak with us this week.
